How does automatic invoice chasing work?

When you send an invoice through DueChat, three reminder emails are scheduled around its due date. Each is signed with your name, includes a payment button, and escalates in tone. Reminders stop automatically the moment the invoice is paid or you cancel them.

Free plan: 3 invoices a month, resets monthly, no card required to start. The Pro plan starts with a 14-day free trial (card required to start the trial), then costs $15 per month and adds unlimited invoices, open and click tracking, and removes the DueChat footer from reminder emails.

Can my clients pay directly from the reminder email?

Yes. Every reminder can include a Stripe payment link or a full Stripe invoice with a hosted payment page and PDF. Your client clicks one button and pays by card; DueChat marks the invoice paid and stops chasing automatically.

Do I need accounting software like Xero or QuickBooks?

Accepted Answer

No. Unlike tools such as Chaser or Paidnice, DueChat is standalone. If you can type a client's email address and an amount, you can start chasing an invoice in about 60 seconds.

Can clients pay a large invoice in installments?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the Pro plan. Tell DueChat to split an invoice into installments and it suggests a schedule based on the amount — you can accept it or pick your own number of installments (2 to 6). Each installment gets its own Stripe payment link and its own short reminder sequence, sent automatically as its due date approaches, so your client only ever sees one smaller invoice at a time. The whole plan still shows up as a single invoice in your "who owes me" view until every installment is paid.
